Epoch Community is made up of people from all ages and backgrounds who have centered around Jesus Christ. Through regular activities in our homes and in our community, we are constantly seeking ways to express our faith in Jesus and to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to follow him. A church community doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, Jesus brought a level of simplicity with His ministry that sits very well with the human spirit. Our church is uncomplicated and simple.

Our mission is to bring Jesus into every situation of our lives, and to challenge other people to consider his life and work. This is the basis for all of our activities, and colours our relationships and plans.
The Apostle Paul encouraged us to think this way when he wrote his letter to the Roman church.
The Apostle Paul encouraged us to think this way when he wrote his letter to the Roman church.
"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2 (NLT)
our beliefs
Our lives are incomplete without God. From the beginning of time, God has been revealing himself to His creation through an incredible story. We are challenged in our generation to become a part of this unfolding narrative. Because God has spoken to us in story through His word, we have formed our theology in the same narrative form.
Everything began within God. Three persons in one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The relationship within this Godhead is perfection, perfect submission, perfect community, perfect love. He is the source of all things we know and feel.
In the beginning there was nothing, but then something of the nature of this godhead spilled out into a created universe, diverse and huge, and yet full of minute detail. God cares about his creation intimately, and sustains it within himself. He created everything we see and don’t see, culminating in the creation of humanity. We share aspects of his own image. Our calling was to love one another and to love God and to love God’s creation. We were to seek him, live in harmony and service to him and one another, in community that reflected the triune God who created us. But the leader of a rebellion against God tricked our original ancestors into ignoring the clear will of our creator. Sin entered through this rebellion, and has remained in the world ever since. We are now all born separated from God and experiencing fractured relationships with each other and the creation itself. We all feel the weight of this burden each day as we struggle with our own failures and the consequences of the failures of others. We desire justice, goodness, love, community, compassion and unity but it eludes us due to the nature of sin we carry within us......
